The Editor by Siobhan Kearney

Being a published author isn’t what Sophie expected. The pay isn’t great. The hours are long. And the deadlines are impossible. At least her publisher-approved editor is decent. More than decent, dreamy. Too bad she can’t graft her editor’s personality onto her sexy downstairs neighbor. Except fate’s got a funny way of throwing them together… in more ways than one.

It has something similar to the feel of going into a story knowing what trope it centers on and the basic framework of how it’ll play out, but you’re still excited to see the details and set dressing. Sets up rich potential for further character growth. -- Mel

The interaction between Sophie and Xavier in The Editor reveals how people can often misjudge another person and I loved the ending. -- Tabitha C. Weiler

I enjoyed all 18 stories, but some of my top picks to look out for are definitely: “The Editor” by Siobhan Kearney (oh no we stan a socially awkward, book nerd vampire) -- RomancingtheBookworm

The Guardian - Siobhan Kearney

A simple afternoon turns Phoebe’s life upside down when her dog escapes leading her straight into Edward’s strong arms and his purpose.

I really liked the stories in this book! Short, sweet and sexy reads. Some were really Hot and some were very sweet and romantic. I read a lot of short story compilations and one of the things they seem to have in common is a lot of grammatical errors and a major need for editing. None of that here, they were all well written. My favorite stories in the book were Masquerade - Nikola Christain, The Guardian - Siobhan Kearney, The Curse Of The Donkey Dong - Caitlyn Lynch (Despite the name, lol!) and Brave Magics - Miranda Deacon. -- Melissa J. Piper

This anthology is excellent from start to finish! I loved that the relationships depicted ranged from committed long-term relationships (married) to meet-cutes, and included everything from fantasy worlds to hot!moms and hot!dads. It was steamy, enjoyable, and I'll definitely be going back for a reread.  -- Sarah Johnson

Don't try to race through this anthology too quickly, because there are some really hot stories in here! Whether focused on vacations, summer wedding season, rituals, or just trying to get through life when it's boiling outside, these stories took me away to different times and places.  My favorites were "The Research Trip," "The Gardener," "Bliss," and "Yearning."  -- Rebecca Rodgers
